L&T Gets Initial Approval for 1,600 MW Thermal Plant in Jharkhand

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received an initial nod to build the main part of a 1,600 MW thermal power plant at Chandrapura, Jharkhand. The project is a joint venture between Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India Ltd. L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions secured a Limited Notice to Proceed from DVCCIL, pending environmental clearances and completion of the Limited Notice to Proceed period.
