The Commerce Department of India has established a utility cell to raise awareness among domestic industries about opportunities from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal stated the cell aims to help Indian businesses strengthen their global market presence by explaining FTA benefits. The initiative involves industry bodies, export councils, and state governments. India has finalized trade deals with EFTA, New Zealand, Mauritius, UAE, Australia, Oman, the EU, and the UK.
