HealthKarnataka Community Health Officers Strike Over Qualification Rules
Community health officers (CHOs) in Karnataka continued their indefinite strike on the sixth day, demanding regularisation of their services and withdrawal of a new BSc nursing qualification requirement for certain posts. The protest included a foot march from Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru to Nelamangala and then to Freedom Park in Bengaluru. CHOs under the National Health Mission play a key role in primary healthcare through Ayushman Arogya Kendras across districts.
