Kumkum Mohod from Amravati won India's first-ever women's individual recurve archery gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan. The 17-year-old's victory sparked celebrations in her Gosavi Colony neighborhood. Her father, Anil Mohod, expressed confidence in her future success, including hopes for gold at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Kumkum has trained since age eight and is set to bring home three medals.
