BusinessFIIs Sell Rs 12,944 Crore Indian Stocks on October 8
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold Indian equities worth Rs 12,944 crore on October 8, marking the second-largest single-day outflow in 2026. This selling pressure was driven by rising crude oil prices, higher US bond yields, and concerns over tighter domestic financial conditions. FIIs' net outflows in October have reached Rs 37,929 crore, with cumulative selling in 2026 crossing Rs 4.41 lakh crore. Domestic investors bought Rs 10,703 crore on the same day, partially offsetting the foreign sell-off.
