Telangana Deletes 12,204 Voter Names in Special Electoral Revision

During the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, 12,204 voter names have been deleted based on Form 7 applications, according to Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharshan Reddy. By October 7, over 10.24 lakh claims and objections were filed statewide via Forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8. Form 7 is used for deletions, with 24,323 deletion requests received and 12,204 processed. The process has faced controversy due to alleged misuse targeting Muslim voters.
