SportsProsecutors Seek Up to 12 Years for Maradona's Medical Team
Argentine prosecutors have requested prison sentences of up to 12 years for seven healthcare workers who cared for football legend Diego Maradona before his death in November 2020. The medical team is accused of providing chaotic and inadequate care while Maradona was recovering from brain surgery. Maradona died at 60 from heart failure and pulmonary edema at his home in Tigre, Buenos Aires.
