The Election Commission clarified that during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, 13.39 crore voters were categorized as Absent, Permanently Shifted, Dead, Duplicate (ASDD), or other categories after reviewing 95.40 crore voters. The ASDD lists were verified by over 10 lakh Booth Level Officers and shared with political parties. Eligible voters had one month to file claims for inclusion.
