ED Searches Mumbai, Gujarat Premises in Drug Trafficking Probe

The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at 11 locations in Mumbai and Gujarat targeting an international narcotics trafficking network led by Navin Chichkar. Narcotics worth ₹200 crore were seized in January 2025, including cocaine, hydroponic cannabis, LSD, and cannabis edibles smuggled mainly from the USA. The probe focuses on tracing proceeds of crime and their concealment. Chichkar is in preventive detention in Chennai after deportation from Malaysia.
