By the end of September, banks saw a 19.4% year-on-year increase in credit growth and a 17.8% rise in aggregate deposits during the first half of FY27. This expansion in balance sheets resulted in a credit-to-deposit ratio of 81%, indicating strong lending activity relative to deposits.
