Karnataka Govt Orders Banks Not to Adjust Gruha Lakshmi Funds for Loans

The Karnataka government instructed the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) that the ₹2,000 monthly installment credited to women under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme must not be adjusted against any loans, interest, or dues. Additional Chief Secretary Uma Mahadevan conveyed these guidelines to all banks, prohibiting auto-debit without beneficiaries' consent. This follows directions from Chief Minister D.K.
