Wisconsin Conserves 1,700 Acres on Lake Superior Shoreline
Wisconsin has protected over 1,700 acres along Lake Superior through a conservation project by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Landmark Conservancy. Using conservation easements, landowners kept property rights while preserving habitats. Efforts included planting conifers and managing invasive species, supporting the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative's environmental goals.
