Vietnam War Veteran Built Colorado's Cano's Castle from Scrap
Cano's Castle, a roadside attraction in Antonito, Colorado, was created by Vietnam War veteran Dominic “Cano” Espinoza starting in 1980. He used discarded beer cans, hubcaps, screen doors, and scrap metal to build it. In January 2022, a fire destroyed the residential section, but the two main towers survived after more than 40 years.
