Supreme Court directs protection of peaceful protesters in Delhi
The Supreme Court on Sunday instructed authorities to prevent illegal detention of people involved in peaceful protests during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demonstrations in Delhi. It also asked the Centre to maintain normal metro services and ensure uninterrupted internet access, subject to law and order. Kapil Sibal welcomed the court's order, saying it restores faith in the justice system.
