PoliticsVietnam Expands Island Building in South China Sea's Spratly Archipelago
Vietnam has expanded its island building in the disputed Spratly archipelago in the South China Sea by adding 534 acres (216.1 hectares) of land over the past year. The country has also started constructing specialized infrastructure on these islands, according to a report by the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.
