Two Indians Indicted in US for Smuggling Fake Ozempic

Two Indian nationals, Swapnadip Roy and Vicky Ramancha, have been indicted by a US federal grand jury for smuggling and selling counterfeit Ozempic. The fake drugs, sourced from China, were sold at discounted prices to US distributors. The scheme ran from July 2023 to April 2024, using fake packaging to deceive buyers. Roy was extradited from Italy and pleaded not guilty. They face up to 71 years in prison.
