WorldKashmir’s Nadeem Khatib and Omani Pilot Turned Terrorists
Two pilots took drastically different paths from aviation to terrorism. Nadeem Khatib, a Kashmiri pilot trained in the US, left his career to join Al-Badr, trained in Pakistan, and became an armed terrorist in Kashmir. Decades later, an Omani co-pilot attempted to hijack a Flydubai flight with 174 people, stabbing Indian Captain Smit Machchhar, who fought back and prevented a disaster. Both aimed to kill innocents despite their professional backgrounds.
