PoliticsTMC Questions ED Actions in 5297 Cases, Cites Low Conviction Rate
TMC has raised concerns over the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) actions related to former West Bengal minister Indranil Sen. TMC claims about 98% of ED cases target opposition politicians. Spokesperson Saket Gokhale highlighted that out of 5,297 cases filed in 11 years, only a small fraction reached court, with a conviction rate of 0.7%. He also criticized BJP's involvement, calling it a 'washing machine'. This follows ED's probe into alleged ₹30 lakh transfers in Mamata Banerjee's bank accounts.
