Telangana CEO Orders Action Against False Statements in Electoral Forms

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy has directed District Election Officers and Collectors to ensure Electoral Registration Officers take action against applicants making false declarations in Forms-6, 6A, 7, and 8. The CEO noted bulk applications in Form-7 suspected to be false and mandated inquiries under Rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, before proceeding under Section 31 of the Representation of People Act, 1950.
