TDP Wins Pulivendula Municipal Chairperson Seat After Four Decades

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won the Pulivendula municipal chairperson seat, breaking the YSR family’s four-decade hold. TDP candidate T. Geetha Kumari defeated YSRCP’s Y.S. Prameelamma by 13,875 votes, securing 25,434 out of 37,992 votes. TDP also won 14 of 40 municipal wards, while YSRCP, Jana Sena, and BJP won fewer wards. The Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed YSRCP’s plea for re-polling and suspending counting.

SC Withholds BMC Commissioner's Salary Over Encroachment Failure
