Tata Trusts File Caveat to Block Orders Without Hearing in Maharashtra
The six Tata Trusts, owning 66% of Tata Sons, filed caveats before the Maharashtra charity commissioner to prevent adverse orders without hearing their side. This follows a complaint by vice-chairman Venu Srinivasan accusing Sir Dorabji Tata Trust of overstepping its charitable mandate. The caveats aim to avoid a repeat of a May order barring Sir Ratan Tata Trust from board meetings due to alleged violations of the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act.
