Treasury-bill yields have sharply increased due to a surge in new issuance testing investor demand, with the recent eight-week bill auction showing record-low demand and yields at 4.05%, the highest in over a year. Despite this, overnight funding markets remain calm and flush with cash, though growing T-bill supply and uncertainty over Federal Reserve rates pose risks. Barclays estimates over $320 billion in new T-bills will be issued in the next six weeks.
