Supreme Court stays probe against Pinarayi Vijayan, warns ED

The Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed the investigation against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter, and son-in-law in the CMRL-Exalogic payoff case. It reprimanded the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for overstepping its statutory limits and warned it not to interfere with other agencies' powers. The court allowed a seven-day stay for appeals against the Kerala High Court's order.

US Mortgage Applications Fall 5.3% Despite Rate Drop to 7.41%

US mortgage applications declined 5.3% last week despite a slight drop in 30-year fixed mortgage rates to 7.41% from 7.50%.
