PoliticsSupreme Court Questions Removal of 46 IPS Officers' Cases from List
The Supreme Court sought clarification from its registry on Tuesday about the removal of contempt cases related to the deputation of 46 IPS officers in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) from the case list. The bench directed the registry to explain why the case, scheduled for hearing at 2 PM, was removed during lunch without informing parties. The contempt proceedings involve Home Secretary Govind Mohan and relate to non-compliance with the May 23, 2025 Supreme Court order to gradually reduce deputation posts in senior administrative grades within CAPF.
