Supreme Court Questions 200-Fold Drug Price Hike in Retail Market
The Supreme Court sharply questioned the central government over the retail market drug prices being up to 200 times higher than manufacturing costs. It criticized the system for aiding drug manufacturers and highlighted cases like cancer injections sold at ten times the price. The court called such price hikes a form of robbery and stressed that hospitals cannot operate on such exploitation.
