Residents of Malleswaram, Bengaluru, have raised concerns about footpaths being blocked by parked vehicles, construction materials, and street vendors, forcing pedestrians, including senior citizens and schoolchildren, to walk on busy roads. An 81-year-old resident, Srinivas MA, reported that a private property owner converted a public footpath on 16th Cross, Sampige Road, into a parking area, obstructing pedestrian access. He has requested removal of obstructions, regular monitoring, and a Lokayukta inquiry into official inaction.
