Supreme Court Orders War Injury Pension for Army Veteran with Kargil Illness

The Supreme Court directed the Union government to grant a war injury pension to Army veteran Narendra Kumar, who developed rheumatoid arthritis during his Kargil posting from 2003 to 2005. The Court ruled the government cannot interpret its policy arbitrarily and must follow its plain wording. Kumar had received a disability pension after discharge in 2013 but was entitled to a war injury pension as per earlier tribunal and High Court orders.

Former MLC Challenges Telangana Government's Prohibitory Land List in High Court

Former MLC Elvis Stephenson of BRS filed a writ petition in Telangana High Court challenging Government Order No. 341 issued on September 23, which placed lands of 16 BRS leaders, including K.
