The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted relief to Kerala's former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by staying the investigation against him in the alleged CMRL-Exalogic case for one week. The court directed the Kerala High Court to hear Vijayan's appeal against the single-judge order to register an FIR based on Enforcement Directorate's information. The Supreme Court questioned the High Court's haste, noting a Special Investigation Team was already formed. The FIR remains valid but the probe is paused until the appeal is decided.
