Spanish Police Investigate Death of Footballer Jesús de Miguel

Spanish police have launched an investigation into possible involuntary manslaughter after Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel died following a cardiac arrest caused by a collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during a second-division match. The incident occurred in added time of a 2-2 game. De Miguel was 30 and is survived by his wife and daughter. The match was abandoned after the event.

SC Withholds BMC Commissioner's Salary Over Encroachment Failure
