SC Panel Considers Safeguards for Marginalised Students in Higher Education

The Supreme Court-appointed National Task Force on student mental health and suicide prevention is developing specific safeguards for students from marginalised communities, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, minorities, and those with disabilities. The 18-member panel, which submitted an interim report in November 2025, is finalizing recommendations to address discrimination and support student well-being, aiming to submit the final report by October 31, 2026.
