RBI Repo Rate Hike to Raise EMIs for Many Home Loan Borrowers
The Reserve Bank of India has increased the repo rate for the first time since December 2025. This hike will lead to higher EMIs for home loan borrowers whose loans are linked to External Benchmark Linked Rates. Previously benefiting from lower rates, these borrowers will now face increased borrowing costs due to the RBI's decision affecting many floating rate loans.
