President Murmu Assents to Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority Bill

President Droupadi Murmu has given assent to the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) Bill 2026, passed by the Nagaland Assembly in September. The bill establishes FNTA, granting legislative, executive, and financial autonomy to six eastern districts of Nagaland: Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Noklak, and Shamator. Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio thanked the President for this key step towards regional self-governance.
