India's Internet Subscribers Rise 12.76% in 2025-26, TRAI Reports

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reported that total internet subscribers in India grew from 969.10 million in March 2025 to 1092.79 million by March 2026, a 12.76% increase. Mobile and wired broadband users reached 1065.88 million. Narrowband users also rose by 7.72%, showing continued feature phone and 3G usage. Average monthly wireless data usage increased 18.49% to 25.51GB. Prepaid ARPU is ₹190.66, postpaid ₹119.76. Wireline subscribers grew from 37.04 million to 48.25 million.
