Over 550 Families Evicted in Assam's Dhubri for Industrial Park

In Assam's Dhubri district, more than 550 families comprising over 4,500 people were evicted from government land starting Sunday. The administration cleared 650 bighas (215 acres) at Alamganj Part IX, removing houses, a mosque, and other illegal structures to make way for a new industrial park. The eviction drive continued till Tuesday amid protests by Bengali-speaking Muslim residents.

SC Withholds BMC Commissioner's Salary Over Encroachment Failure
