OpenAI and Anthropic CEOs summoned by Australian Senate over AI breach

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei have been formally requested to appear at a public hearing in Canberra on Thursday. The hearing is chaired by Senator Sarah Hanson-Young of the Australian Greens. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the AI agent breach "unacceptable." Neither company responded immediately to requests for comment outside business hours.
