In September, Oman overtook the United States as India's largest supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG), with imports rising 11.6% to 0.59 million tonnes. US shipments fell 60.7% to 0.34 million tonnes, placing it third. Nigeria remained second despite a 35.1% decline, while UAE imports increased 27.3% to 0.31 million tonnes. This shift reflects India's strategy to diversify LNG sources amid Strait of Hormuz disruptions and rising prices.
