Odisha, Chhattisgarh Near Resolution in Mahanadi Water Dispute

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the government is progressing towards resolving the long-standing Mahanadi water sharing dispute with neighboring Chhattisgarh. After a meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Majhi expressed optimism about a final framework soon. Both states agreed to accept decisions by the Central Water Commission. The meeting included Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai, central ministers, and technical experts.
