NASA Powers Up Roman Telescope’s 300-Megapixel Camera
NASA has activated the primary instrument of the Roman Space Telescope, a massive 300-megapixel camera. Initial tests show promising results, including neon-green stars in the first test image. The telescope used only 18 kilograms of its 200-kilogram fuel budget for its first course correction, potentially extending its planned 10-year mission to at least 22 years.
