Micron Settles $600 Million Patent Dispute with Netlist
Netlist announced that Micron will pay $600 million to settle a patent dispute over memory chips. Micron will pay $30 million quarterly for a five-year license to Netlist's patents, including high bandwidth memory technology. Netlist won a $445 million verdict in 2024 and filed a new complaint to block Micron chip imports used in AI products. Netlist CEO C.K. Hong emphasized protecting IP and investing in next-gen products.
