Luxury Cruise Ship Collides with Container Vessel in German Port

The luxury cruise ship Mein Schiff 3 collided with the container vessel MSC Victorine while departing Bremerhaven, Germany, amid strong winds from storm Manja. The 293-metre cruise ship, operated by TUI Cruises, had left around 5:10 pm for a 20-day voyage to Spain’s Canary Islands. The collision damaged several lifeboats and reportedly tore open the cargo ship’s hull. Tugboats assisted amid rough conditions as the incident was recorded by passengers.
