Retired Army Officer Arrested in Tamil Nadu for Sharing Sensitive Military Data

A retired Indian Army officer, Babu, aged 52 from Keezhvallam village near Kaniyambadi in Tamil Nadu's Vellore district, was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive military information via WhatsApp with a woman claiming to work on a DRDO project. Babu served 28 years in the Army, retiring in 2025 as a captain. Investigations revealed he also contacted Army offices for restricted data. He was detained following intelligence inputs and taken for questioning.
