Johnny Carson, longtime host of NBC’s "The Tonight Show," bought a four-acre Malibu estate in 1984 for about $9.5 million. The property, featuring ocean views, an indoor arboretum, a wine cellar, and a sunken tennis court gifted by NBC, was listed decades later for $81.5 million but sold in 2019 for $40 million. Carson lived there over 20 years until his death in 2005.
