Jack Johnson’s Foundation Revives Hawaii Farmland for Student Learning
The Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation acquired unused farmland on Oʻahu in 2019 to create an educational farm. Over six years, it produced more than 40,000 pounds of crops and engaged 2,200 students in ecological education, agroforestry, and local food systems through hands-on activities. Community volunteers help maintain the farm regularly.
