IT Sector Sees Rebound in Fresher Hiring After Two Years

India's $300 billion technology and IT services industry is witnessing a revival in fresher hiring after nearly two years of decline. Entry-level recruitment, which fell to a record low of around 110,000 in FY26, is expected to rise to between 115,000 and 135,000 this fiscal year, a 4.5-22.7% increase. Major firms like TCS, Infosys, and HCLTech recruited about 19,000 freshers in the June quarter, driven by strong demand for experienced AI talent.
