BusinessIndiGo Raises Fuel Charges From October 6 Due to Rising ATF Prices
IndiGo, India's largest airline, announced an increase in fuel charges for domestic and international flights starting October 6. The hike follows a sharp rise in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices, which have surged over 14% month-on-month, reaching the highest levels in a decade. New fuel charges range from Rs 375 for flights up to 500 km to Rs 1,150 for flights between 1,501 km and 2,000 km, impacting airline operating costs and potentially airfares.
