Indian Stock Market Rebounds After Longest Weekly Loss in 25 Years
The Indian stock market rebounded sharply on Monday after its longest weekly losing streak in 25 years. The Nifty 50 rose 0.56% to 22,545.25 and the Sensex gained 0.62% to 72,359.72 by 10:06 am. Thirteen of 16 major sectors advanced, led by financial stocks. The recovery was driven by falling crude oil prices, easing US monetary tightening concerns, and positive quarterly results from banks like HDFC Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda.
