India's Peak Power Demand Falls as Cooling Needs Ease
India's peak power demand has dropped to around 234 GW after exceeding 250 GW for much of early October. The decline is due to reduced cooling and irrigation needs with cooler weather and rainfall. Despite this, states like Gujarat and Tamil Nadu still experience high demand, with Gujarat's peak at 28.3 GW on October 24, similar to June levels, driven by industrial and weather factors.
