Rajasthan Declares 80 Tehsils in 14 Districts Drought-Affected

Rajasthan has declared 80 tehsils across 14 districts as drought-affected due to deficient rainfall, reduced water availability, and kharif crop damage. Notifications issued on October 24 and 25 classify 69 tehsils as severely affected and 11 as moderately affected. The drought status will remain for six months. Districts include Banswara, Barmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and others, based on assessments following the Centre's Drought Management Manual, 2016.
