Hyderabad to Manufacture Takeda’s Qdenga Dengue Vaccine

Hyderabad will become a manufacturing hub for Takeda Pharmaceutical’s Qdenga dengue vaccine, with Biological E. planning to produce up to five crore doses annually by 2029 under a licensing agreement. Until then, Takeda will import doses from Germany, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories will distribute the vaccine. The vaccine may enter the Indian market in early 2027, targeting people aged four to 60 with two doses.
