Hyderabad BJP Agent Booked for Attempting to Delete 30 Muslim Voters

In Hyderabad, BJP booth agent S Balachander was booked for attempting to delete 30 Muslim voters from electoral rolls using pre-printed Form 7 applications. The Chikkadpally police registered the case on October 6 after election officials confirmed the voters lived at their registered addresses. The complaint was filed by T Praveen Kumar, Electoral Registration Officer of Musheerabad Assembly constituency. Balachander faces charges under sections 217, 318(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
